Int. Ft. Ch. Branko's Heli-Prop, In Memory

INT. FT. CH. BRANKO'S HELI-PROP BORN: 18 MARCH 1987 DIED: 24 AUGUST 2000

Int. Ft. Ch. Branko's Heli-Prop decided over the last couple of days he's had enough, and was put to sleep this morning by our veterinarian. He'd had an operation April of this year, from which he recovered very well, and was running again. However, I guess his age caught up with him.

Prop was not "just" another dog, rather something special. He was the ultimate gentlemen in the kennel with other dogs, as well as in his behaviour with people. Prop was the best snow hound one could ever want, and he loved to be gunned over. Right until a month ago he could still run his rabbit for a 1/2 day without any problems. He has produced many AKC, CKC, and some UKC champions. As soon as we get the exact numbers, we'll post them.

Prop had in his prime an unbelievable running style. He simply could not be outrun. The longer the trial, the better he'd run. He would "explode" out of the check and be gone ahead of the rest of the pack, before they'd know what hit them.

Those who saw him run tell us, that they'll never forget it. The late Lou Wormuth handled Prop for some time in upper New York, and treated him very well. Lou absolutely loved Prop and would drive with Prop sitting in front of him on his ATV.

Terry McBride of the Oshawa Beagle Club, our "Home" club, handled Prop to his Canadian Field Champion Title.

Prop won his first trial at age 14 months. We normally would never run a dog this young in trial, but we KNEW Prop could handle the pressure. He was that good, from the day he started. There was nothing that could shake his confidence and from the day he started he showed how special he was, that he was one of the "great" ones!

Prop has a special place in our hearts. He will be put to rest in his running grounds.

We'll miss him dearly.......
